So I tried making my own apple cider vinegar gummies using gelatin and some vitamin C powder. I followed a recipe online but they came out super sticky and won't hold shape. Anyone have a working ratio or tips? I'm aiming for that chewy texture like the store-bought ones.

Hey! I've had good luck using agar agar instead of gelatin – it sets firmer and doesn't get sticky. Also, make sure you're not adding too much liquid. I do 1 tbsp agar to 1 cup liquid, simmer for a few mins, then pour into molds. Let them set in the fridge for at least an hour. Hope that helps!

Yeah, sticky mess usually means too much moisture or not enough setting agent. Also, if you're using vitamin powders, they can mess with the pH and prevent setting. Try adding a pinch of citric acid or lemon juice after mixing. And for the love of god, don't skip the refrigeration – I learned that the hard way lol.

Thanks guys! I'll try the agar tip and maybe lower my liquid. Berry, do you mean add citric acid to the mix before pouring? Also, what's a good sweetener that won't mess with texture? I used stevia last time and it was gritty.

Yeah, add a tiny bit of citric acid (like 1/8 tsp) to help the gelatin set. For sweetener, I use liquid stevia or monk fruit drops – no grit. Or you can use honey, but that adds moisture so adjust your liquid. Good luck!
