Hey y'all, I tried making my own apple cider vinegar gummies using gelatin and some ACV powder, but they came out all soggy and wouldn't set right. Used 2 tbsp gelatin, 1/4 cup water, and 3 tbsp ACV powder. Any tips?

Soggy mess is usually too much liquid or not enough gelatin. Try reducing water and adding a bit more gelatin. Also, are you using grass-fed gelatin? Makes a difference. Don't give up!

I had the same issue! I switched to agar-agar (vegan option) and it worked better. Ratio is 1 tsp agar to 1 cup liquid. Also, let them set in the fridge for at least 4 hours.

If you're paleo like me, make sure your ACV has the 'mother' and use real fruit juice instead of water for flavor. I use 1/2 cup juice, 2 tbsp gelatin, and 1 tbsp ACV. Sets firm.

From a chem standpoint, ACV's acidity can break down gelatin if you heat it too much. Try mixing gelatin with cool water first, then add warmed ACV powder mix slowly. Also, pH adjust with a pinch of baking soda if needed. Good luck!
