THREAD: My ACV Gummies are looking weird - still safe to eat?Started by OP

Hey everyone, I've been taking these apple cider vinegar gummies for a couple months now, but I just opened a new bottle and they look... off. Some of them have turned a darker color, almost brownish, and they feel kinda hard and sticky. A few are even stuck together in clumps. Are these still safe to take? I don't want to waste them if they're fine, but also don't want to risk getting sick. Has anyone else had this happen?

Bro, I've seen this with my pre-workout gummies too! Usually happens when they get warm or humid. I just toss 'em if they're rock hard - not worth the gut ache before a WOD. But if they're just a little sticky, I'll still pop 'em. My rule: if it smells weird or has mold, trash it. Otherwise, send it! 💪

This is likely sugar bloom or crystallization due to moisture loss or temperature fluctuations. The color change could be oxidation of ingredients. While probably not harmful chemically, texture changes might indicate degraded active compounds. Check the expiration date and storage recommendations. Personally, I'd contact the manufacturer for a replacement - quality control issue.

lol my smart fridge would flag this! But seriously, I had similar issues with my collagen gummies until I got a humidity-controlled container on Amazon (link in my bio). The sticking together is usually just the coating melting slightly. If they're not expired and you store them properly going forward, they're probably fine. But if they taste weird, don't risk it.
