THREAD: Apple Cider Vinegar Gummies - Do they actually work or just taste good?Started by SupplementSteve23

Hey everyone, I just picked up a bottle of ACV gummies from the health store yesterday. As someone who's tried everything from kombucha to fermented veggies, I have to say these are surprisingly tasty! They have a sweet-tart apple flavor with a hint of cinnamon - way better than drinking straight vinegar. Has anyone else tried them? I'm curious if the taste holds up across different brands or if some are just sugar bombs in disguise.

Steve, while the taste might be pleasant, I'm skeptical about the actual benefits. Most ACV gummies I've researched contain minimal acetic acid - the active component in vinegar. Many brands use fillers and sweeteners that negate any potential health benefits. Have you checked the nutritional label? I'd be interested to see the actual acetic acid content per serving compared to traditional liquid ACV.

Nancy makes a valid point about formulation quality. I've been taking a specific brand for 3 months now and tracked my biomarkers. The key is finding gummies with at least 500mg of acetic acid per serving and minimal added sugars. The convenience factor is huge - I could never stick to liquid ACV because of the taste and enamel concerns. For those interested, look for third-party testing certifications to ensure you're getting what's on the label.

Taste is everything for me! I tried three different brands last month. Brand A tasted like candy apples (loved it), Brand B had this weird aftertaste, and Brand C was way too sour. Honestly, if they don't taste good, I won't take them regularly regardless of the science. Steve - which brand did you get? I'm always looking for new tasty options to add to my supplement rotation.

As a biohacker, I've been experimenting with ACV in various forms for years. The gummies are interesting from a compliance perspective - people actually take them consistently. But here's my concern: many gummies use pectin or gelatin that might affect bioavailability. I've switched to enteric-coated capsules that protect the acetic acid until it reaches the intestines. Has anyone done blood glucose testing before/after gummy consumption? That's the real test of effectiveness.

Great discussion everyone! Nancy - my bottle shows 750mg of acetic acid per serving, which seems decent? Dan - I got the 'VitaNature' brand, and you're right about the candy apple vibe! Bob raises a good point about absorption. Maybe I'll try the capsules too and compare. Has anyone noticed actual benefits like better digestion or energy? Or are we all just enjoying tasty supplements?
