THREAD: Ashwagandha gummies + coffee? Safe combo or nah?Started by OP

Hey everyone, I've been taking ashwagandha gummies for stress relief for about a month now and they've been great. But I'm a huge coffee drinker—like 2-3 cups a day. Is it safe to take them together? Or should I space them out? Anyone tried this combo?

Ooh interesting! I actually add ashwagandha powder to my morning smoothies sometimes. With coffee tho, I'd be careful—both can mess with your cortisol levels. Maybe try having your gummy with a light snack instead of right with coffee? I've noticed if I have them together I get kinda jittery. But everyone's different!

I take ashwagandha gummies post-workout for recovery. I drink pre-workout coffee like 30 mins before the gym, then the gummy after. No issues here, but I'm not a doc. If you're sensitive to stimulants maybe space em out by an hour or two. Also make sure your gummies don't have extra caffeine in them—some adaptogen blends do.

Marathon training here! I avoid coffee too close to my ashwagandha gummy because both can affect hydration and heart rate. I have coffee at 6 AM, run at 7, and take the gummy around 10 AM after breakfast. Works for me—keeps me calm without overstimulating. Listen to your body though!

From a holistic view, ashwagandha is balancing (rajasic/sattvic) while coffee is rajasic (stimulating). Combining them might counteract the calming effects. I'd suggest having your gummy away from coffee, maybe with herbal tea instead. Or try cycling—ashwagandha for a few weeks, then a break. Always prioritize whole foods over supplements where you can 💚
