THREAD: Ashwagandha Gummies - Love the Berry, Hate the Citrus... What's the Best Flavor?Started by OP

Hey everyone, need some advice on ashwagandha gummy flavors! I've been taking the berry blast ones for a month now and they're actually pretty good - kinda like a mild fruit snack. But I made the mistake of trying the citrus burst flavor last week and... wow. Tasted like cleaning product mixed with sadness. Anyone else have strong opinions on flavors? What should I try next that won't make me gag?

Totally feel you on the citrus ones - they have that weird artificial aftertaste that lingers. I've experimented with mixing the berry gummies into my morning yogurt bowls, and they actually complement the Greek yogurt nicely. Have you tried the tropical blend? The mango-passionfruit combo masks the earthy ashwagandha taste better than most. Pro tip: if any flavor is too strong, pair it with something sweet like honey or a banana smoothie.

lol 'cleaning product mixed with sadness' - accurate. Honestly I'm still skeptical about whether any of these do anything beyond placebo, but flavor-wise: the mixed berry is definitely the least offensive. The tropical ones Huberman mentioned are okay, but they have that stevia aftertaste that some people hate. Have you checked if different brands have better flavors? Sometimes it's not the ashwagandha but the other ingredients making it taste bad.

Weekend warrior here - I need these for recovery after my Saturday hikes! Berry is my go-to, but the pomegranate ones are solid too. Less sweet than berry but doesn't have that chemical taste. Avoid anything labeled 'natural flavor' without specifics - that's usually where the bad tastes hide. Also, store them in the fridge! Makes the texture better and tones down any weird flavors.

Thanks all! Sounds like berry is the crowd favorite, with tropical and pomegranate as backups. PlantPat - good point about brands, I've only tried Nature's Way. Might experiment with another brand's berry version. Oliver - fridge tip is genius, will try that. Huberman - not sure I'm ready to cook with them yet but maybe someday lol. Appreciate the help!
