Hey everyone! I'm looking to buy a health pack or some ashwagandha gummies as a gift. One for my aging mom (she's 68, stressed, not sleeping great) and one for my buddy who's a total gym rat. Any recommendations? I'm overwhelmed by all the brands. Thanks in advance!

For your mom, I'd go with an organic, vegan option. I've tried the 'Nature's Bounty' ashwagandha gummies and they're pretty good. They're not too sweet and use tapioca syrup instead of corn syrup. For your friend, maybe look for one with black pepper extract for better absorption? I think 'Goli' has a good rep but they're a bit pricey. Also, check for third-party testing. Good luck!

I'm all about DIY but when I do buy gummies, I look for KSM-66 or Sensoril ashwagandha extract. Those are the most studied. For your mom, a lower dose (like 300mg) might be better to start. For your gym buddy, he might want 600mg. I've made my own ashwagandha gummies before with gelatin and honey, but it's a hassle. If you're buying, 'Himalaya' is a solid brand. Just make sure they don't have a ton of sugar. Your friend might prefer capsules for the gym, but gummies are more fun as a gift. Maybe add a cute note? lol

As a broke student, I've tried the cheap ones from Walmart. They're okay but kinda chalky. If you want a gift, splurge a little. I got my mom some 'Olly' stress gummies (they have ashwagandha + L-theanine) and she loved them. They're like $15 at Target. For your fitness friend, I'd say 'Vital Proteins' or 'Bulletproof' if you're feeling fancy. But honestly, check Amazon reviews for 'ashwagandha gummies' and sort by rating. That's what I do. Hope that helps!

Med student here. Just a heads up: ashwagandha can interact with thyroid meds, sedatives, and immunosuppressants. If your mom is on any prescriptions, she should check with her doctor first. Also, for the gym friend, there's some evidence it can boost testosterone and strength, but it's not a magic pill. As for brands, I'd recommend 'Now Foods' or 'Jarrow Formulas' because they're reputable and often third-party tested. Gummies are fine but they usually have less potency than capsules. If you go with gummies, look for ones that specify the extract type and amount per serving. Good luck!
