THREAD: Can I take Ashwagandha gummies with my morning coffee?Started by MountainMike

Hey all, I've been using these ashwagandha gummies for stress (the brand is CalmChews) and I'm wondering if it's okay to take them with my morning coffee. I usually have 2-3 cups right when I wake up. Does the caffeine mess with the adaptogen effects? Anyone tried this combo?

Mike, I work nights so my 'morning' is like 5pm lol. I take ashwagandha gummies to help wind down after my shift, but I avoid caffeine with them personally. My herbalist said caffeine can kinda counteract the calming effects? But idk if that's bro science. I'd check with a doc if you're worried.

Fellow night shifter here! I actually take mine with a decaf herbal tea instead of coffee. I feel like the gummies work better without the caffeine jitters. Maybe try spacing them out? Like coffee first, then gummies an hour later? Just a thought!

I make my own adaptogen blends sometimes. From what I've read, ashwagandha is generally safe with moderate caffeine, but it might reduce the stress-reducing benefits for some people. Maybe experiment? Try a week with, a week without, and see how you feel. Keep a journal!
