Help! My kid thinks these gummies are candy!

So, I bought some Ashwagandha gummies for stress relief. I hid them in the pantry. Today, my 5-year-old found them and ate 3 before I noticed. Now I'm freaking out – is that dangerous? They're delicious, apparently, but not meant for kids! Anyone else's little ones or partners mistake these for candy?

LOL, mine too! My husband thought they were fruit snacks and ate like 5. I was like, "Dude, those are for chill, not taste!" He said they were too good. I now keep them in a lockbox. But honestly, a standard dose is fine for an adult, but for a kid? Probably call poison control just to be safe. Better safe than sorry!

Been there! My 8yo kept sneaking them. They're gummies, so of course kids assume candy. Now I hide them in my vitamin case with a lock. As for safety, the ashwagandha is generally safe, but it can lower blood pressure or interact with meds. For a 5yo, one or two is probably okay, but def call the doc. And maybe get a bottle with child-resistant cap. 😅

Ha, my dog got into mine once. That was fun. But for kids, ashwagandha is used sometimes in small doses for ADHD, but I'd still ask a doc. Maybe try getting a different brand that doesn't taste so good? Or hide them in a freezer bag labeled "frozen peas" – no kid will touch that! Also, CBD gummies might be less tasty. 😉

Thanks everyone! Called the pediatrician, they said 3 gummies (45mg each) is likely fine for a 5yo but watch for drowsiness. Kid's fine, just took a 2-hour nap! 😂 Definitely getting a lockbox now. And JoyfulJack, the frozen peas idea is genius!
