My kid thinks my ashwagandha gummies are candy! Help!

Okay, I need to vent. I bought those ashwagandha gummies to help with my stress and sleep (mom of 3, you get it). They taste like sweet berries, right? Well, my 4-year-old found them in my purse and ate like 5 of them before I noticed. Now I'm freaking out - is that dangerous? Should I call poison control? She's fine so far, but I'm panicking. Anyone else have this issue?

OMG, this happened to me too! My 6-year-old thought they were gummy bears and gobbled half the bottle. I called the pediatrician and they said it's not toxic but could cause upset stomach or drowsiness. She ended up taking a huge nap, which was actually a win for me lol. But yeah, now I hide them in the back of the fridge. You're not alone!

LOL that's a classic. But seriously, those gummies are like candy. I've started using a lockbox or keeping them in a high cabinet. Also, there are child-resistant bottles online - I got one with a combination lock. Tech solution to a parenting problem, you know? But yeah, she'll be fine, just watch for drowsiness.

Ha, my spouse did the same thing - not a kid, I know. But it's why I prefer the capsules, no sweet temptation. But if you're vegan, check that the gummies don't have gelatin - some brands do. But seriously, I'm more worried about the sugar content. Do you check that? Anyway, hope your little one is okay!

Thanks everyone! I feel a bit better. She's actually passed out on the couch now, so maybe it's a blessing. But I'm definitely going to get a childproof container and maybe switch to capsules for the morning dose. And Greg, these are vegan ones I think, but I'll double check the label. Thanks for the support!
