New study on Ashwagandha gummies – legit or hype?
Hey guys, just saw this study on PubMed (PMID: 34567890) about Ashwagandha for stress. They used gummies!! Results look good but I'm skeptical cuz it's a small sample and maybe funded by a supplement company? What do you all think? I work nights and my cortisol is always high, so I'm tempted.
Ooh I'm a total newbie to meditation and herbs, but I've been looking into Ashwagandha! That study seems promising but I heard some brands are shady. Did they say how much extract per gummy? Also, are there side effects? I don't want to get sleepy during my morning meditation lol.
Paleo guy here. I stay away from gummies usually because of added sugars and crap. But Ashwagandha root itself is legit if you get quality extract. That study might be biased if they used a specific brand. Check if it's peer-reviewed and who funded it. Also, night shifters – I'd try the powder form in tea, no sugar crash.
Good points! The study used 'KSM-66' extract which I think is a patented form. They said 300mg per gummy, 2 gummies a day. No side effects reported but only 60 people for 8 weeks. I'll look into powder too Liam, thanks! Any brand recommendations for gummies that aren't loaded with sugar?
I saw some gummies with 'ashwagandha + l-theanine' combo at my local health store. Maybe that's better for anxiety? But I'm still scared to try. Let us know if you find a clean brand Adam!
