Taking ashwagandha gummies on a trip – melt risk? TSA okay?

Hey everyone! I’m heading on a 10-day hiking trip in the Rockies and want to bring my ashwagandha gummies with me. But I’m worried they’ll melt in my bag, plus I have a layover flight. Are these TSA-friendly? Should I keep them in my carry-on or checked? Any storage tips for warm temps?

Great question! I travel a lot for fitness competitions. Gummies are totally TSA allowed – I always put them in my carry-on just in case. To avoid melting, I put the bottle inside a small insulated lunch bag with an ice pack. If you’re hiking, keep them in a cooler or at least in a shaded part of your pack. They can get sticky above 80°F. Also, you can freeze them before leaving; they thaw fine!

I second the insulated bag idea. I took mine on a cross-country road trip and they turned into a blob in the glove box. Learned my lesson! Now I either freeze them or bring a small thermos with ice. TSA never bats an eye – just keep the label visible in case they ask. Happy trails!

If you’re DIY-inclined, you can actually melt them down and pour into silicone molds to make little gummy cubes that are easier to pack – they re-solidify. But for your hike, I’d just go with the insulated wrap. Also, some brands sell travel tins that block heat better. Check the brand’s website; sometimes they have specific tips. Enjoy the Rockies!

Thanks all! I’m gonna try the insulated lunch bag with an ice pack. And freezing some ahead of time is genius. Appreciate the tips – now I can stress less about my gummies melting and focus on the trail! 😄
