Traveling with Ashwagandha Gummies – Do They Melt? TSA?
Hey everyone! I'm heading to a week-long hiking trip in the Rockies, and I don't want to miss my daily ashwagandha dose. But I'm worried about the gummies melting in my backpack or getting messed up in my carry-on. Any tips? Do they survive plane travel? TSA okay with them?
I've brought my ashwagandha gummies on multiple flights, and they've never caused an issue with TSA. Just keep them in the original container if possible, and they're fine. As for melting, I'd avoid leaving them in a hot car for hours. But in your backpack, they should be okay unless it's scorching. I usually put them in a small insulated pouch or near my water bottle to keep them cool. Safe travels!
I've taken gummies on a camping trip in 90°F heat – they got a little soft but didn't completely melt. I'd say keep them in a zip lock bag and maybe put them in a cooler if you have one. Also, if you're hiking, the altitude shouldn't affect them. TSA doesn't care about gummies as long as they're not liquids. Just don't try to sneak a smoothie through security lol.
Oh, and don't forget to bring a few extra in case they get smushed. I once had a gummy turn into a blob – still edible but not fun to look at 😅. For long trips, you might also consider switching to capsules temporarily, but gummies are fine if you're careful.
Thanks Zoe and Mike! That puts my mind at ease. I'm gonna try the original container plus a zip lock. And I'll keep them in my daypack's pocket that's not right against my back. Appreciate the advice! ✌️
