Unexpected side effect? Better skin after Ashwagandha?

So I started taking Ashwagandha gummies about 3 weeks ago for sleep (I've been having trouble winding down after long runs). I did notice I'm sleeping deeper for sure, but I also woke up this morning and my face looks... clearer? Like less redness and puffiness. Anyone else experience something like this? Not complaining, just wondering if it's in my head or the gummies.

That's interesting! I've been taking them for stress (I do crossfit and my job is super demanding). I honestly feel more chilled out, but I also got a compliment on my skin at work the other day. I thought it was just a good skincare day, but maybe the ashwagandha is doing something? There's some research on it reducing cortisol, which can affect skin, so not surprised tbh.

I've been a nurse for 35 years and I've seen a lot of 'unexpected' benefits from supplements. Cortisol spikes can really mess with your skin, so lowering stress hormones can definitely help with inflammation and breakouts. I take ashwagandha for joint pain (I know, random) and I've noticed my skin looks better too. It's not a miracle, but it's a nice bonus. Just make sure you're getting a good quality brand with no weird additives.

Wait, so this is a thing?? I've been on ashwagandha gummies for a month now for anxiety and I thought my skin was getting clearer because I was drinking more water. But maybe it's the gummies?! I'm a crossfit junkie and I sweat a lot, so my skin is usually a mess. I'll take it! Anyone know if it helps with hair too? LOL

Haha, glad I'm not the only one! I'm not sure about hair, but I'll take the skin win. I was actually thinking of stopping after this bottle (I didn't want to be on a supplement long-term), but now I'm reconsidering. Maybe I'll cycle it or just use it as a chill pill for race days. Anyway, thanks for the input, everyone!
