B12 gummy with my morning coffee? Safe or no?

Hey y'all! I just started taking a B12 gummy (2500 mcg, methylcobalamin) and I usually have a cup of black coffee in the morning. I've heard B12 is water-soluble so it should be fine, but does caffeine mess with absorption? Also, I'm a little worried about taking too much since the gummy is high dose. Thoughts?

Great question! Caffeine can increase stomach acid, which might actually help dissolve the gummy, but it doesn't directly block B12 absorption as far as I know. Methylcobalamin is well-absorbed. As for the dose, 2500 mcg is safe since excess is peed out. Just don't take it too late in the day if it gives you energy. Science says: go for it!

I personally take my B12 gummy with a warm cup of chamomile tea instead of coffee lol. But I think coffee is okay! Your body will take what it needs and the rest leaves. Maybe avoid acidic drinks if your stomach is sensitive though. Also, I feel like high-dose B12 gives me a nice boost, so pairing with caffeine might be too much for some. Listen to your body!

I've been taking B12 gummies for ages and I always wash 'em down with my morning brew. Never had an issue. Actually, I read somewhere that caffeine can enhance circulation which might help absorption? Not sure if that's true, but I'm still alive haha. Just watch out for jitters if you're sensitive to stimulants. Enjoy!
