So I tried making my own B12 gummies using gelatin and methylcobalamin powder. Followed a recipe but they came out all gooey and sticky. Any advice? I used 1 tbsp gelatin, 1/4 cup water, and 1/4 cup juice. Heated slowly but they never set properly. What am I doing wrong?

Hey Olivia! Are you blooming the gelatin first? And maybe you didn't use enough. I usually do 2 tbsp gelatin per 1 cup liquid. Also, make sure your liquid isn't too hot or too cold. Let it cool a bit before adding the powder to preserve potency. Hope that helps!

I'm new to this, but I heard that citrus juice can break down gelatin. Maybe try using water or a non-citrus juice? Also, have you tried agar agar? It's plant-based and sets firmer. I use 1 tsp agar per 1 cup liquid, works like a charm.

Ken's right! Citrus ruins gelatin. And for keto, I avoid juice altogether. I use water and a few drops of stevia. Also, let the mixture cool a bit before pouring into molds. Put them in the fridge for at least 4 hours. If they still don't set, check if your gelatin is expired.

Thanks everyone! I did use orange juice, so that's probably the culprit. Also, only had 1 tbsp gelatin. I'll try with water and more gelatin. Appreciate the tips!
