Gummy B12 turned into a rock! Is it safe?

I've been taking these B12 gummies for a few months and they were fine. I opened a new bottle yesterday and they're all hard, kinda clumped together with some white spots on them. They don't look like the same gummies. Are they still safe to eat? I don't want to waste them but also don't want to get sick.

Sounds like sugar bloom to me. It happens when temp changes cause the sugar to crystallize. It's not mold, but the texture might be off. Honestly, I'd toss them. With supplements, better safe than sorry. Cheap enough to replace. And who knows what heat did to the actual vitamin content? I'm skeptical it's even still effective.

I've had this happen with vitamin gummies before. They were still ok to eat just tasted like chalk. But I always check the expiration date. If they're within date and no mold, I'd eat them. But I'm minimalist - hate wasting money. Maybe try breaking them apart? If they're not sticky they're just dehydrated. Keep in cool place next time.

Actually, the whiteness is likely from the gelatin or pectin drying out or sugar crystallizing. I've done some research. It's not harmful but the texture will be off. I'd test one first. If it tastes fine, you're probably ok. But store them in a dark, cool cupboard. Moisture can cause them to stick. I use a desiccant pack in the bottle.
