Gummy gift for mom (62) or gym buddy? B12 recommendations?
Hey all! I'm looking to put together a little 'health pack' for my mom (she's 62, always tired) and also for my buddy who's obsessed with the gym. Thinking B12 gummies might be good? Anyone have recs for something that's high-quality but not too pricey? I want real results, not just sugar.
Ohhh I get this! For your mom, check out 'Garden of Life' B12 gummies - they're methylcobalamin (the active form) and have organic ingredients. No weird fillers. For your gym buddy, 'Nature's Bounty' B12 gummies are good and cost-effective. But tbh, if they're really into fitness, they might want a combo with B6 and folate too.
As a marathon runner, I love the 'Vitafusion Extra Strength B12' gummies. They give me a nice energy boost without jitters. For your mom, maybe go with a lower dose? My grandma takes 'Solgar' B12 lozenges but they aren't gummies. Also, pair them with a good iron supplement if she's tired - check her levels!
Thanks! I didn't think about B6/folate combo. Ursula, do you have a specific brand that does all three? Also Wend, good point about iron - I'll mention that to her doc. I'm leaning towards the Garden of Life for mom and maybe Nature's Bounty for my buddy. Any thoughts on taste? Mom's picky.
Garden of Life has a mixed berry flavor that's pretty mild. But some people say they taste a bit 'earthy'? For picky, try 'OLLY' B12 gummies - they're tasty and have a nice texture. They also have a 'super greens' blend that might be good in a health pack. lol. Also, Costco has a good deal on Nature's Bounty right now!
