Harvard says dementia is complex – can B12 supplements help?
Just saw this article about dementia not being a single thing. My grandma has dementia and I've been reading about B12 deficiency being linked. Any of you guys take B12 supplements for brain health? I'm thinking of adding it to my stack.
I'm vegan so I definitely take B12. But dementia is scary, and I've heard that high-dose B12 can help slow cognitive decline if you're deficient. The article says it's a catchall term, so maybe a good diet and supplements can't hurt? I'd like to see more research though.
B12 is essential for energy and nerve function. I take a sublingual spray every morning. But dementia is complex – I think exercise and sleep are just as important. Anyone try combining B12 with other supplements like omega-3s?
Good points. I might get my B12 levels checked first. My diet is high in meat so maybe I'm fine, but extra won't hurt. Thanks guys!
