My B12 gummies changed color and got hard - are they still safe to eat?

Hey everyone, I've been taking these B12 gummies for a few months now and just noticed something weird. I opened a new bottle last week and they were fine, but now they've turned a darker shade of red and feel really hard. Some are even sticking together in the bottle. I keep them in my kitchen cabinet away from heat. Has this happened to anyone else? Are they still safe to take or should I toss them?

omg yes this happens to me all the time! i think its sugar bloom - when the sugar coating crystallizes. i'm super careful about storage bc i'm trying to reduce waste. i keep mine in the fridge now and it helps. they're probably safe but might taste weird. check the expiration date tho! if they're expired, better safe than sorry for our bodies and the planet 🌎

Ugh I feel you! My kids' gummies do this constantly because they leave the bottle open on the counter after sneaking them (don't tell them I know lol). Humidity and air exposure can make them hard or sticky. If they don't smell off and aren't expired, I'd still give them a try. But if they're super hard, might be tough to chew. As a sleep-deprived mom, I say when in doubt, replace - not worth the stress!

Hi! I'm new to supplements but I've read that temperature changes can affect gummies. Maybe try storing them somewhere more consistent? I keep mine with my meditation supplies in a cool, dark drawer. If they've changed a lot, your intuition might be telling you something. Listen to your body's wisdom ✨

Tech hack: get a small humidity sensor for your cabinet! Mine was too humid and ruined my last batch. The color change could be oxidation - basically the ingredients reacting with air. If they're just hard/sticky but not moldy, they're likely safe chemically, but texture might be unpleasant. I'd contact the manufacturer too - sometimes they'll send a replacement bottle if it's a known issue.
