My toddler thinks my B12 gummies are candy - help!
OMG this happened to me last week! My 4-year-old found my berry-flavored B12 gummies and ate like 5 before I caught him. He said 'mommy these are the best candies!' I freaked out and called poison control - they said he'd be fine but to keep them locked up. Now I'm paranoid about the sugar content too... anyone else have this happen?
Ugh I feel you! Working nights means I keep my supplements by my bedside. My husband grabbed my B12 gummy thinking it was melatonin once and was wired at 3am 😂 Now I use those pill organizers with labels. Have you tried the sugar-free versions? They're less appealing to kids but still taste decent.
This is why I stick to traditional tablets. No confusion, no sugar, no texture issues. My grandson refused gummy vitamins because they were 'too squishy' - kids are particular! Maybe switch to a liquid B12 you can mix into juice? Less candy-like appearance.
Working remotely with kids around is a challenge! I use a timed lockbox for my supplements - sounds extreme but prevents accidents. Also, the sugar alcohols in some gummies can cause digestive issues if overeaten (learned that the hard way while traveling). Maybe try citrus-flavored ones? Less candy-like than berry.
