Hey everyone, so I tried making my own beauty gummies at home to save money and control ingredients. Used gelatin, some vitamin C and biotin powders, plus fruit juice. But they came out super rubbery and wouldn't set right - some were gooey messes! Anyone have a foolproof recipe or tips on ratios? How much powder can you add before it ruins the texture? Thanks!

OMG I LOVE that you're taking charge of your wellness journey! ✨ I make my own gummies weekly - here's my secret: use 1 tbsp gelatin per 1/2 cup liquid MAX, and dissolve vitamins COMPLETELY in warm liquid first! I add collagen peptides, zinc, and a dash of ashwagandha - my skin has never been glowier! Start with 1/4 tsp powder per batch and work up. You've got this, queen! 💪

Honestly, this sounds like a waste of time and money. I tried this last year when my teen wanted 'clear skin gummies' - spent $40 on powders and they tasted like chemicals. Store-bought ones are tested for proper dosing. How do you even know you're getting the right amount of vitamins in each gummy? What if your kid eats too many?

First, kudos for reducing plastic waste from store bottles! 🌍 Ditch the gelatin - it's from factory farming. Use agar agar instead (vegan, from seaweed!). 1 tsp agar per cup liquid, boil 5 min. For powders, mix with a tiny bit of oil first to prevent clumping. I add spirulina and local bee pollen - zero waste AND supports local ecology! 🐝

Paula makes a great point about agar! OP, if you stick with gelatin, try adding 1 tsp honey or maple syrup - it helps with texture AND gives an energy boost! Dan, homemade lets you avoid nasty fillers like artificial colors (linked to inflammation!). Start small, document your ratios - this is how we reclaim our health narrative! 🍯
