Gummies are just candy in disguise?

Okay, I've been seeing all these beauty gummies everywhere, and I finally caved and bought some. But then I read the label... 5g of sugar per gummy! That's like eating a candy, not taking a supplement. I feel like we're all being tricked into thinking we're doing something healthy when we're just eating sugar with a tiny bit of vitamins. Anyone else feel this way? Is it just me?

I get your point, Ivy. But think about it this way - if it gets you to take your vitamins, it's better than not taking them at all. I used to struggle with swallowing pills, and gummies changed that for me. I'm all about wellness, and a little sugar to make it palatable is okay in moderation. Also, there are sugar-free options now. Let's not throw the baby out with the bathwater, right?

Actually, the concern is valid. Most of these gummies contain around 3-5g of sugar, which can add up if you're taking multiple supplements. Over time, that's a lot of empty calories and potential blood sugar spikes. Plus, some of them have questionable 'natural flavors' and not enough actual nutrients. I think we need to be more critical about what we're putting in our bodies, even if it tastes like candy.

Exactly! It feels like a marketing tactic. They know we have a sweet tooth, so they wrap it in a 'health halo'. I'm considering switching to capsules or powders, even if they taste awful. But I'm curious - have any of you found gummies that are actually low in sugar AND effective?

I've seen a few brands using natural sweeteners like stevia or monk fruit. I use one from a brand that has 1g of sugar per gummy. It's still a little sweet, but better. Honestly, I think moderation is key. If you can manage pills, great. But for people like me who genuinely hate swallowing pills, gummies are a lifesaver. Maybe we should just be aware and choose wisely.
