Hey all! I tried making my own beauty gummies with gelatin and vitamin C powder, but they came out super tough and rubbery. I used 2 tbsp gelatin to 1 cup juice, simmered then poured into molds. Any tips to make them softer? I'm a science nerd so feel free to get technical.

Oh girl, I've been there! Try using agar agar instead of gelatin - it's plant-based and gives a nicer texture. Also, don't boil the liquid too long or it'll get too firm. I add a little honey and let it cool to just warm before pouring. Hope that helps! 🌱

I make these all the time for post-workout recovery! Key is bloom the gelatin in cold water first (like 5 min) then heat gently. Also add a dash of citric acid - helps with taste and setting. My batch last week came out perfect, like store-bought!

I've been trying to make collagen gummies for joint health. Biggest mistake was adding vitamin powder directly - it clumped. Next time I'll dissolve it in a tiny bit of warm water first. OP, maybe your vitamin C wasn't mixed well before pouring?
