Hey folks, just saw this study about biotin in beauty gummies. PMID 34567890. Claims it helps with hair and nail growth, but I'm skeptical. Anyone else seen it? Is it just a marketing ploy or is there real science behind it?

I've been taking biotin gummies for a while now. My nails are definitely stronger. But I also eat low carb, so maybe that helps? Study could be biased if funded by a supplement company. Always check the funding. Still, I think biotin is legit for some people.

I read that study too! It's a meta-analysis, so that's decent. But yeah, always look for conflicts of interest. I take a multivitamin with biotin, not a dedicated beauty gummy, and I've noticed my hair seems thicker. Could be placebo, but I'll take it. Plus, they taste good!

Thanks for the input! I didn't check the funding. I might give it a try since my nails are brittle. Any brand recommendations that aren't loaded with sugar?

I use the one with no added sugar, sweetened with stevia. Brand is 'PurePops'. Not sure if it's on the market everywhere but check online. Also, make sure it has other stuff like vitamin E and C for absorption.
