Traveling with Beauty Gummies - Do They Melt? TSA Tips?
Hey everyone! I'm planning a big road trip with the kids next week and I'm worried about my collagen beauty gummies. Do these things melt in a hot car? Also, any tips for keeping them fresh on long drives? I usually keep them in my purse but it gets pretty warm in there. Thanks!
Oh man, I've totally had gummies turn into a sticky mess on hiking trips! I bring my energy gummies everywhere and learned the hard way. For road trips, I keep them in a cooler bag with my drinks. For planes - TSA is usually fine with them in your carry-on (they're not liquids), but I put them in a clear ziploc just in case. Pro tip: don't leave them in direct sunlight!
Great question! Most beauty gummies are formulated to withstand moderate temperatures, but extreme heat can definitely affect texture and potency. For travel: 1) Store in original container with silica gel packet if possible 2) Avoid temperature fluctuations 3) For air travel, TSA allows supplements in carry-on or checked bags. I travel with my biotin gummies all the time - never had issues as long as they're not in direct heat for hours.
Thanks MountainMike and WellnessWendy! The cooler bag idea is perfect for our road trip. Wendy - good point about potency, I didn't think about that. Mike - sorry about your sticky hiking disaster! I'm gonna pack mine in a small insulated lunch bag with an ice pack. For anyone wondering, I checked my brand's website and they say store below 77°F, so definitely need to be careful in summer heat.
No worries about my hiking mess - lesson learned! Another thing: if you're flying, those overhead bins can get pretty warm during the flight. I usually keep my supplements in my personal item under the seat where it's cooler. Safe travels Mila! Let us know how it goes with the kids!
