I tried making my own biotin gummies using gelatin and biotin powder. They came out super rubbery and taste like metal. Anyone got a working recipe? I followed a YT vid but maybe my ratios are off?

Oof, homemade gummies can be tricky. Gelatin needs precise bloom time and temp. Also, biotin powder might not dissolve well. Did you add any flavoring? I'd try a smaller batch first. Why not just buy them? too much hassle IMO.

I've had luck with agar agar instead of gelatin for a vegan version. But biotin powder is bitter - you need to mask it with strong fruit juice or stevia. My first batch turned into a gooey mess, so I feel your pain.

I used raspberry juice but maybe not enough? The gelatin was 1 packet to 1/2 cup liquid + 1 tsp biotin. Should I use less biotin? And what's agar? Is it easier?

Agar is seaweed-based, sets firmer. But it can be gritty if not boiled properly. Honestly, just buy gummies. You don't know if homemade ones actually have proper dosage. I'm skeptical of DIY supplements.
