Hey everyone! I'm looking to get some gummy vitamins as gifts - one for my mom (aging, worried about hair thinning) and one for my best friend who's super into fitness (she's all about recovery and looks). I've seen Biotin Gummies everywhere but not sure which brand or if there are combo packs. Any recs? Thanks!

For your gym buddy, I'd suggest looking into a gummy that has biotin plus some electrolytes or B vitamins. I use the Nature's Bounty Biotin gummies, but honestly, for recovery I've heard good things about the Olly Ultra Energy (has biotin + B12). But if she's really into fitness, maybe a collagen + biotin combo? I stack my biotin with collagen peptides separately. But gummies are easier to gift!

I work nights so I'm all about that energy. For your mom, might want to check the dosage - some biotin gummies have like 5000 mcg which is high but fine. But maybe a gentler one? My mom likes the Spring Valley biotin (5000 mcg) from Walmart, but she takes it every other day. If your mom is worried about thinning, biotin alone might not be enough, but it's a good start. Also, look for ones with added zinc or vitamin C for absorption? Just a thought.

Med student here - just to add, biotin is water-soluble so any excess pees out, but high doses can mess with lab tests. For your mom, maybe check with her doc if she's on meds. But for gifting, I'd go with a known brand like Nature's Made or NOW. They have Biotin gummies with folate and vitamin B12, which is good for overall health. For your fitness friend, maybe a multivitamin gummy that includes biotin instead of just biotin alone - like Olly's Women's Multi has biotin and it's pretty comprehensive. But if she specifically wants biotin, the Solgar biotin gummies are vegan if that matters.

I love this idea! For your mom, I'd recommend a gummy with biotin plus hyaluronic acid and collagen - garden of life has a nice whole food one. For your friend, maybe a mood and stress support gummy with biotin? Since intense workouts can be stressful. But remember, biotin helps with keratin production, so it's good for hair and nails but not a magic pill. A balanced diet is key. Also, if your mom is on biotin, make sure she drinks plenty of water. I'd say go for organic if possible. But honestly, any of the ones mentioned are fine. Let us know what you pick!
