Help! My kid thinks the biotin gummies are candy!
Okay, so I have a story. I bought those yummy-looking biotin gummies for myself (trying to rescue my postpartum hair). This morning, I caught my 4-year-old stuffing a handful into his mouth like they were gummy bears! I freaked out, but then I realized the bottle says 'supplement' in tiny letters. Anyone else have this issue? How do you keep them away from little hands?
Oh man, that's scary! My hubby did the same thing last week — thought they were my pre-workout gummies and ate like 10. He was fine, but I had to hide them after that. I keep mine in a high cabinet now, but maybe a child-proof lock? Also, check the dosage: biotin is water-soluble so overdose is rare, but still not ideal.
LOL, my dog once got into a bag of vitamin gummies. Vet said they're not toxic but the sugar can upset stomachs. For kids, I'd treat them like any medicine — keep out of reach. Also, maybe try the ones that look less like candy? I use the sugar-free ones from VitaFusion, they're kinda ugly lol.
Thanks guys! I'll look into the ugly ones 😂. Also, my son REFUSES to take them now because he says they're 'too chewy' compared to regular gummies. Kids, am I right? Maybe I'll switch to capsules and hide them in a smoothie.
