My toddler thinks biotin gummies are candy - help!

Okay, so I started taking these biotin gummies for my hair and nails, and my 4-year-old daughter thinks they're candy. She keeps sneaking into the bathroom cabinet and trying to get them! Yesterday I caught her with the bottle, saying 'Mommy's special candy!' I had to explain they're vitamins, not treats. Anyone else deal with this? I'm worried she'll actually get into them when I'm not looking.

See, this is exactly why I'm skeptical about these gummy supplements. They're literally designed to look and taste like candy! No wonder kids get confused. Have you considered just getting your biotin from natural sources instead? Like nuts or eggs? Safer and no candy confusion.

Keep them high up. Simple solution. I use a basic biotin pill - no flavors, no colors, no sugar. Takes 2 seconds to swallow with water. Gummies seem unnecessary complicated for adults, let alone with kids around.

PlantPat - I appreciate the suggestion, but I have dietary restrictions that make it hard to get enough from food alone. Tom - they're already on the top shelf! She's a climber lol. Maybe I need a lockbox? The texture thing is another issue - my husband won't take them because he says they're 'too chewy' and stick to his teeth. Can't win!

Lockbox sounds extreme but might work. Honestly though, if your husband doesn't like the texture either, maybe that's a sign? My sister's kids went through a phase where they'd only take vitamins if they were gummies, then suddenly refused because they were 'slimy.' Kids are unpredictable with textures. Maybe try a different brand with less sticky formula?
