New study casts doubt on biotin absorption from gummies?

Hey everyone, I just stumbled across this study (PMID: 38456789) that says biotin in gummy form might have way lower bioavailability than pills. Like only 50% absorption or something. I always thought gummies were better for absorption because they're chewed? Idk, what do you think? Is this legit or just some anti-gummy propaganda from big capsule? 😅

IMO most studies like this are funded by pharma companies trying to push their expensive pills. Gummies have worked fine for me—been using them for 6 months and my nails are way stronger. But I'm also a Crossfit junkie so maybe my high metabolism helps? 😂

Oh man, this reminds me of the whole "gummy vs. chewable" debate from the 90s! I used to give my kids those chalky vitamins... lol. But seriously, absorption depends on the formulation. If your gummies use synthetic biotin and are shelf-stable, maybe it's true. But I follow Dr. Oz's advice (I know, I know, controversial lol) and he says gummies are fine as long as you avoid sugar-loaded ones.

As a broke student, I only buy gummies because they're cheap on Amazon Prime day lol. If absorption is bad, I'm basically flushing money down the toilet?? 😭 Does anyone have a cheaper source of biotin that actually works? Preferably not liver...

@VeggieVictor51 check out bulk powders—usually cheaper per dose. But gummies are convenient for me 'cause I take them post-WOD. Honestly, if you're just trying to avoid deficiency, gummies are fine. This study's probably overblown, but watch out for sneaky sugar content if you're watching your macros!
