Taking Biotin Gummies on a Trip - Melt or TSA Trouble?
Hey all! I'm heading on a week-long road trip and then hiking in the mountains. I don't want to skip my biotin gummies, but I'm worried they'll melt in the car or get squished in my backpack. Any tips for traveling with gummy vitamins? Also, any experience with TSA if I fly? Thanks!
I've taken gummies on many flights and road trips! They don't melt unless it's super hot, like in direct sun. I put them in a small pill organizer or a ziplock bag, and they're fine. TSA doesn't care - they're not liquids, and as long as they're in reasonable quantity, you're good. Just don't take the whole bottle if you can help it. Have fun on your hike!
Oh, I'd be careful about leaving them in a hot car! My grandkids left some gummy vitamins in the car once and they turned into a gooey mess. I'd suggest keeping them in a cooler or at least in your carry-on if you're flying. Also, TSA might ask about them, but just say they are vitamins. Better safe than sorry!
Good tips. I've traveled with biotin gummies for years. For hiking, I recommend putting them in a small, sturdy container, like a travel-size Tic Tac box or a dedicated pill case. That prevents crushing. As for heat, they can soften, but they won't fully melt unless it's extreme. Keep them in an insulated pouch or near your water bottle with cold water. And TSA - just declare them if asked, it's no biggie. Enjoy your trip!
