Headed on a 10-day hiking trip (plane + lots of outdoor time). I take biotin gummies daily and don't want to skip. But worried: will they melt in my pack? TSA rules for gummies? Any tips for carrying them? Also, I've heard heat can make them sticky/gooey. Help!

Oh man, I feel you. Traveled with gummy vitamins last summer on a road trip through the desert. They didn't fully melt but got super soft and clumped together. I'd suggest keeping them in a cool place, maybe a small insulated pouch or even a ziplock in your carry-on (not checked) since planes can get cold. TSA is fine with gummies - just keep them in original container or a clear bag. If you're hiking, store them in a cooler with your food. And maybe take a few extra in a separate bag just in case.

From a chef's perspective: heat and moisture are enemies of chewy textures. I'd wrap the bottle in a damp paper towel? No wait, that might make it worse. Actually, dry ice? Overkill. I think the real trick is to empty them into a small metal tin (like an Altoids tin) with a silica gel packet (the kind that comes in jerky). That'll keep moisture out. As for TSA, just declare them if asked. They're not a gel or liquid. And if they melt, you can always put the goo in a spoon and eat it like jam. #survivalmode

Fitness pro here. I've carried gummies on many flights and even long hikes. Tips: 1) Keep them in your carry-on, not checked - temperature is more stable. 2) Bring the original bottle with the label; some TSA agents might get picky. 3) For hiking, use a small pill organizer and put that in a ziplock. If they melt slightly, it's okay - still effective, just messy. Also, check if your gummies have a 'do not expose to high heat' note. If concerned, take them at night when it's cooler. Safe travels!
