THREAD: Weird Biotin Gummy Side Effect - Anyone Else?Started by GreenGreg567

Hey all, been taking these biotin gummies for about 2 weeks now for hair/nails. They taste great and all, but I've been having these crazy vivid dreams every night! Like full-on movie plots, super detailed. Not scary or anything, just... intense. Has anyone else experienced this with biotin gummies? Is it normal or should I be worried? I'm trying to stay chill about it with my meditation practice but it's kinda distracting my morning zen sessions lol.

LOL GreenGreg, welcome to the club! I've been on biotin gummies for months (trying to combat the caffeine-induced hair thinning, don't judge). Yeah, the vivid dreams thing happened to me too at first. For me it was like action movie dreams - lots of running and escaping. It tapered off after maybe 3-4 weeks though. Now I just get them occasionally. As long as you're not having nightmares, I'd say ride it out. Could be your body adjusting. Have you checked if there's B vitamins in your gummies too? Sometimes that combo does weird stuff.

Interesting! I take biotin gummies pre-workout sometimes for the collagen support. Never had the dream thing, but my pee turned BRIGHT yellow when I first started. Freaked me out mid-WOD. Turns out it's just excess B vitamins (usually B2/riboflavin) being excreted - totally harmless. Your vivid dreams could be related to B vitamin content affecting neurotransmitters. Might want to check the full ingredient list. Also, are you taking them at night? Maybe switch to morning if so. #biohack

Thanks guys! MountainMike - good to know it might fade. And yeah, these have a B complex in them too. NootropicNoah - I've been taking them at night because they're kinda like a dessert treat after dinner. Maybe I'll try mornings instead. The bright pee thing hasn't happened to me (yet!), but I'll keep an eye out. Appreciate the reassurance - feels less weird knowing others have had similar experiences. Maybe I'll try documenting the dreams for creative inspiration during meditation haha.
