Are gummy vitamins just candy in disguise?
Okay, I know gummies are convenient, but I just looked at the label on my 'organic' vitamin C gummies and it has 3g of sugar per serving! That's almost as much as a candy! Why is this stuff marketed as healthy? I'm a broke student, and I'm starting to think I'd be better off just eating an orange.
100% agree. I follow a paleo diet and those gummies are full of sugar and crap. If you want convenience, just get capsules or tablets. No sugar, no fillers. Your body will thank you. I've been using plain ascorbic acid powder for years. Cheap and clean.
Honestly, I've gone full DIY. I buy bulk vitamin powders and mix my own. No sugar, no weird ingredients. It's cheaper in the long run and you control what goes in. There's a learning curve but it's worth it. @NootropicNoah629, if you're on a budget, just get the cheapest capsules online and fill them yourself.
I never thought of buying powder and making my own capsules. Is that hard? I'm kinda clumsy lol. But yeah, the sugar thing is ridiculous. Even 'sugar-free' ones have maltitol which gives me the runs. Ugh. Might just stick to real food I guess.
Powders are easy. Just get a capsule machine on Amazon for like $20. You'll save money in a month. And yeah, avoid maltitol, it's basically a laxative. Stick to xylitol or erythritol if you want sweet, but I'd just go unsweetened.
