Are we turning supplements into candy?

I'm getting real tired of seeing gummy vitamins with 3-4g of sugar per serving. I get that they're convenient, but it feels like we're just eating candy. I remember when supplements came in capsules and pills - no sugar, no nonsense. Why can't we go back to that?

I totally get where you're coming from, Frank, but honestly, gummies got me to actually take my vitamins every day. I used to forget pills or hate the smell. Plus, they taste so much better! If I have to balance a little sugar for my health, so be it.

But at what cost? These gummies are basically candy with a few vitamins sprinkled in. We're setting a bad example for kids - they think vitamins are treats. And the sugar isn't great for teeth or blood sugar. Pills and capsules are the pure way. I'll stick to my capsules any day.

Have you considered the environmental impact? Gummies come in plastic bottles with those bulky desiccants. Capsules often come in glass or recyclable containers. Also, gummies might contain gelatin or other non-vegan ingredients. There's more to this than just sugar.

Hey, I get the concerns, but you can't stop progress. There are now sugar-free gummies with natural sweeteners, and they sell zero-sugar capsules too. I've seen some brands using eco-friendly packaging. It's about choice. I'll take a gummy with monk fruit sweetener - best of both worlds, convenience and less guilt.
