Costco Deal on Gummies - Too Good to Be True?
So I was at Costco today and saw our favorite gummy vitamins on sale - buy one get one free! That's like half price. But I'm wondering if the lower price means they're cutting corners on quality, or if it's just a great deal. Anyone have experience with this?
Honestly, you get what you pay for. Big box stores often get special manufacturing runs with cheaper ingredients. Check the label - if it's not third-party tested, I'd be skeptical. But if it's the same brand you usually get, it might be just a promo to clear stock. I'd do a quick search on the batch number.
I've bought those before! They're usually just as good. I actually compared the ingredients to the ones from my local pharmacy and they were identical. Sales like that are often just to get you in the door. Plus, you can always do a DIY test - dissolve one in vinegar and see how it breaks down. That tells you a lot about absorption.
Price doesn't always equal quality. I've seen expensive brands with fillers and cheap ones with clean ingredients. Trust your gut - literally! If you feel good taking them, that's what matters. Also, check the expiration date. Sometimes they discount because they're near expiry, but that's okay if you'll use them in time.
Thanks guys! I checked the label and it's the same brand I usually get, and they were manufactured a few months ago so plenty of time. I'll grab two bottles and do the vinegar test. Appreciate the advice!
