THREAD: Found gummy vitamins on sale at Costco - too good to be true?Started by OP

Hey everyone, was at Costco yesterday and saw their Kirkland brand adult gummy vitamins on sale for like half the price of the name brands. Normally I get the fancy ones from Whole Foods but this deal seems insane. Anyone tried these? Is the lower price just because it's store brand, or does it mean they're cutting corners on quality? Don't want to save money if it means getting junk.

Oh wow, this takes me back! I remember when gummy vitamins first hit the market in the early 2000s - they were such a novelty. The Kirkland ones are actually pretty decent from what I've tried. They're not as fancy-flavored as some boutique brands (missing that artisanal elderberry zing my blog readers love), but the nutrition labels are comparable. Store brands often have lower prices because they skip the marketing budgets. I'd say check the ingredient list against your usual brand - if it matches up, might be a steal!

As a mom of three, I'm SUPER skeptical about anything that seems too cheap. I bought Target's Up&Up gummies once because they were on sale and my kids refused to eat them after one try - said they tasted 'chemically.' Learned my lesson! With Costco though, their return policy is amazing, so you could always try and return if they're gross. Just make sure the dosage matches what you need. Sometimes cheaper brands have less actual vitamins per gummy.

Bro, I've tried every gummy out there trying to get my micronutrients without choking down pills post-workout. The Costco ones are legit for basic stuff like multivitamins or vitamin D. Where they skimp is on the specialized blends - like if you want extra BCAAs or adaptogens, you gotta pay up. For a standard multi? Go for it. Just check the sugar content - some cheap brands load up on corn syrup which defeats the purpose if you're tracking macros like me.
