Gummy vitamins are basically candy, right?

Okay, can we talk about how these gummy vitamins are basically just candy? I see all these 'healthy' gummies with like 3g of sugar per serving. That's almost as much as a gummy bear! I get that people don't like swallowing pills, but isn't the whole point of supplements to be healthy? Why are we turning them into dessert?

totally agree with you. I get that some people need convenience, but the sugar is a no-go for me. I'd rather take a capsule any day – no sugar, no fillers, just the active ingredients. Plus, gummies are often lower in potency because of the manufacturing process. Not a fan.

I mean, I get where you're coming from, but I literally can't swallow pills. I choke every time. Gummies are a lifesaver for me. Yeah, there's some sugar, but it's better than not taking anything at all, right? And my energy is way better since I started taking a B-complex gummy.

As a former nurse, I've seen both sides. Some patients absolutely cannot take pills due to dysphagia or nausea. Gummies have their place. But I do caution people to read labels – some brands load up on sugar and artificial stuff. Look for ones with no added sugar or sweetened with xylitol. Moderation, folks.

I hear you PlantPat and Tom, and I'm glad they work for some people. I guess my frustration is more with the marketing. Gummies are pushed as "healthy" when they're really not much better than candy. I just wish there were more sugar-free options that actually taste good.
