THREAD: Looking for gummy vitamin gift ideas - aging parent OR fitness friend?Started by OP

Hey everyone! I'm trying to find a good gummy vitamin 'health pack' or specific gummies to gift. I have two people in mind - my dad who's in his 70s and could use some joint/brain support, and my friend who's super into fitness (runs daily, lifts, tracks macros). I want something that actually works but isn't crazy expensive. Any recommendations? Capsules are fine too but I think gummies might be more appealing as a gift.

Honestly, most of these are just expensive candy with fancy labels. Your dad's doctor probably has better advice than any supplement company. For your friend, real food beats processed gummies any day. Save your money or get them something practical instead.

Ignore the skepticism! For aging parents, I'd recommend a stack with Lion's Mane for cognitive function and a high-quality collagen gummy for joints. For your fitness friend, look for something with adaptogens like ashwagandha and a solid B-complex. Check the bioavailability - some gummies use inferior forms. I track my biomarkers and can confirm certain formulations actually move the needle.

Just chiming in from Bali! I travel with gummy vitamins since they don't count as liquids for carry-on. For your dad: look for something with vitamin D3/K2 and omega-3s (though those are usually softgels). For your fitness friend: electrolytes in gummy form are great post-workout. Many brands do subscription boxes that make nice ongoing gifts. Check the sugar content though - some are basically candy.

As someone who runs 50+ miles weekly: for your fitness friend, definitely go with something recovery-focused. I use tart cherry gummies for inflammation and magnesium glycinate (though that's usually capsules). For aging parents, my mom loves the calcium/vitamin D gummies - easier to remember than pills. Whatever you choose, make sure it's third-party tested. Lots of junk out there.
