Hey everyone! I'm new here and I have a question. I take my gummy multivitamin in the morning with my coffee. Is that safe? I heard that caffeine might affect absorption or something. Also, can I take it with my other supplements like omega-3 fish oil? Thanks!

Great question! From a holistic perspective, it's generally fine to take gummies with coffee, but I'd suggest waiting 30 mins to an hour to maximize absorption. Caffeine can increase stomach acid, which might break down the vitamins too quickly. Also, omega-3 is fat-soluble, and taking it with a meal that has some healthy fats helps absorption. Gummies are usually water-soluble, so taking them together is okay, but spacing them out can reduce any potential digestive upset.

I'm a busy professional and I always take my gummies with my morning coffee. No issues for me! But I read that vitamin C can enhance iron absorption, and coffee can inhibit it, so maybe don't rely on that if you're anemic. I just pop them together and go. Also, I take my fish oil at lunch instead, because I heard it can make you burp if taken on an empty stomach. Just a tip!

I'm not a doctor but as someone who avoids sugar, I'd check the sugar content in your gummies. Some have added sugar that might not be great with coffee. Also, if you're watching blood sugar, timing might matter. I take my gummies after breakfast away from coffee, just to be safe. But honestly, most gummy vitamins are fine with coffee. Just don't take them with hot liquids like tea or coffee if they contain probiotics, as heat can kill them. I learned that the hard way!
