THREAD: My gummy vitamins look weird - are they still safe to take?Started by OP

Hey everyone, need some advice. I opened my bottle of gummy vitamins this morning and they look totally different. Some have turned a darker color (like from bright orange to kinda brownish) and they're all stuck together in one big clump. A few feel really hard too, not soft like they used to be. Are these still safe to eat? I don't wanna waste them but also don't want to get sick. Has this happened to anyone else?

OP, I've seen this with my keto gummies before! Usually happens when they get exposed to moisture or heat. I keep mine in the fridge now, especially during summer. As for safety - if they're just hard or stuck together, they're probably fine, but if they smell weird or have mold (look for fuzzy spots), toss 'em. I'd say trust your gut - if they look too off, maybe get a new bottle. Better safe than sorry when it comes to supplements!

This happened to my travel gummies last month in Bali! The humidity totally wrecked them - they got all sticky and changed color. I ended up tossing them because I wasn't sure. From what I read online, it's often 'sugar bloom' where sugar crystals form on the surface. Not necessarily unsafe, but might affect the dose since the nutrients could degrade. Maybe check the expiration date? And store them somewhere cool and dry next time. Safe travels with your supplements! ✈️

As a mom, I'm super careful about this stuff. Color changes and hardening can mean oxidation or moisture issues. Check the ingredients - if they have natural colors (like fruit extracts), they can fade or darken. Sticking together suggests humidity got in the bottle. Personally, I wouldn't give these to my kids. For adults, it's probably not dangerous if no mold, but the potency might be reduced. Contact the manufacturer! They should know if it's a common batch issue. Always better to be skeptical with anything we ingest.
