New study on ashwagandha – legit or funded hype?
Just read this study on ashwagandha for stress reduction (PMID: 30348633). Seems promising but it was funded by a supplement company. Thoughts? Is it legit or just marketing?
Ooh I've been taking ashwagandha gummies for a month and I feel calmer! But yeah, funding bias is real. The study looks decent though – double-blind, placebo-controlled. Gotta take it with a grain of salt.
I'm new to supplements – does funding automatically mean it's fake? I was thinking of trying ashwagandha but now I'm conflicted. Any trusted brands?
Not automatically fake, but conflict of interest. Check if the study is peer-reviewed and replicated. For ashwagandha, I look for KSM-66 or Sensoril extracts – they have more independent studies.
I use the gummies from Natural Factors & they work for me. But listen to your body, Mila! And maybe start with a lower dose. 💚
