Hi all! I'm heading out on a 10-day trip that involves a plane, a road trip, and some hiking. I love taking my daily gummy vitamins, but I'm worried about them melting in my luggage or backpack. Also, what's the deal with TSA and gummies? Are they considered a liquid or gel? Any storage tips for keeping them intact? Would hate to deal with a sticky mess. Thanks!

Hey Olivia! I've taken gummies on flights many times. They're not a liquid/gel, so they're fine in your carry-on. I just keep them in their original bottle in my personal item. They don't usually melt at cabin temps but can get soft if it's hot. For hiking/road trips, I use a small insulated container or just keep them in a cooler if I'm in a hot car. Worst case, if they squish, you can stick the container in the fridge and they'll firm up. Honestly, a little melt never killed anyone, just maybe messy.

I'll add a vegan twist - make sure your gummies don't have gelatin (mine are pectin-based). As for melting, I've done long hikes with them in my pack - they survived, but I put them in a small hard-shell box (like an Altoids tin) to avoid crushing. TSA-wise, never had an issue. The only problem is if you have CBD gummies - check local laws, but I'm assuming these are just vitamins. Anyway, safe travels!

Thanks for the tips, Quincy and Greg! I'm going to put them in a small insulated pouch and maybe keep them in the fridge before I leave. That way they start out solid. And good point about checking ingredients - I'll make sure they're plant-based. Appreciate the advice!
