Traveling with gummy vitamins—melt risk or chill?

Headed on a 10-hour flight and then a road trip through the desert. My gummy vitamins are my daily ritual, but I'm paranoid about them turning into a sticky mess. Anyone dealt with melting? Also what's the TSA rule for gummies? Do they count as 'gel'? Storage tips for hiking? Thanks!

Honestly, why not just skip them for a few days? Gummy vitamins are mostly sugar and hype anyway. But if you must, keep them in a cool bag. TSA won't bat an eye—they're solid, not a gel. But don't leave them in a hot car; they'll turn into a blob.

I travel light. For desert trips I just transfer a few days' worth into a small pill container and keep that in my backpack. Haven't had melting issues as long as they're not in direct sun. TSA's fine—they're not liquids. Pro tip: pack a silica gel packet to keep moisture out.

Oh man, brings back memories of a road trip where my gummies melted into a weird candy bar! Learn from my mistake: don't keep them in the glovebox. I now use a insulated lunch bag with an ice pack. Works for flights too. And yeah, TSA treats them like any solid food.
