Hey everyone! I'm going on a long hiking trip in the Rockies next week, plus a plane ride to get there. I LOVE my gummy vitamins but I'm worried they'll melt in my pack or get flagged by TSA. Anyone have experience with this? Do they melt easily? How do you store them while traveling?

OMG I've taken my gummies on so many flights! TSA doesn't care about them, just put them in a clear baggie with your other carry-on gels/liquids if they're jumbo sized. But for melting? Yes they can get soft in heat. I keep mine in a small insulated lunch bag with an ice pack when hiking. Or you can put them in a pill container and toss it in a cooler. Safe travels and namaste! 🧘‍♀️

Biohacker here. Gummies are just gelatin and sugar so they'll melt around 90F. For TSA, solids are fine, no liquid rule applies. But for storage I recommend a vacuum-sealed bag or a hard case like a pelican to prevent crushing. Pro tip: freeze them overnight before your trip. They stay solid longer and the cold helps preserve potency. Also consider switching to a powder for travel, but that's just me. ✌️

I once had a gummy vitamin blob mess in my camera bag during a desert shoot – not fun! Now I use a small stainless steel tin (like for mints) and wrap it in a wool sock for insulation. Keeps 'em cool and no plastic waste. Also TSA never even glanced at mine. Just make sure the tin is labeled if you have multiple supps. Hope your hike is amazing! 📸

Granola mom here! We travel with gummies for our kids all the time. I put them in a reusable silicone pouch and tuck it in the cooler with our snacks. They do get a little sticky in the heat but still tasty. TSA didn't bat an eye. I'd say just don't leave them in a hot car or direct sun. Have a blast on the Rockies! 🌲
