Hey everyone, new to the collagen gummy game here! I've been taking these collagen gummies for about a week now for skin/joints. Usually take them with breakfast. But I'm a huge coffee drinker - like 2-3 cups every morning. Is it okay to take the gummies WITH my coffee? Or should I space them out? Worried the caffeine might mess with absorption or something. Anyone tried this combo?

Great question! As a holistic healer, I'd recommend spacing them out. Coffee is acidic and can interfere with nutrient absorption. The tannins in coffee might bind to the collagen peptides. Try taking your gummies 30-60 mins before or after your coffee. Also, consider adding a pinch of cinnamon to your coffee - it helps balance acidity naturally! 🌿

lol i take my collagen gummies WITH my pre-workout coffee every morning! been doing it for months. no issues here - still hitting PRs at the gym and my joints feel great. i think the whole 'absorption' thing is overhyped. just make sure you're getting enough protein overall. if you're worried, take em with food too.

Coffee's not paleo, but that's another discussion 😉 Seriously though, from a paleo perspective: our ancestors didn't have supplements OR coffee. If you're eating nose-to-tail (bone broth, organ meats) you're getting collagen naturally. But if you're using gummies, take them with fat (like avocado or eggs) for better absorption, not with coffee.

Amateur chef here! Interesting question. Coffee's acidity could theoretically affect the gummies, but practically? Probably minimal. I sometimes dissolve a collagen gummy in my cold brew (weird experiment!) - tastes fine. My tip: if you're concerned, have your coffee first, then gummies with a small snack like nuts or yogurt. The fat helps anyway!
