So my 6yo found my collagen gummies and thought they were fruit snacks. Ate half the jar before I noticed. Should I be worried? She’s fine so far but idk how much collagen is too much for a kid. Also they were strawberry flavor – guess I can’t blame her lol.

OMG that’s so cute but scary! I’d check with your ped just in case. But honestly most collagen gummies have like 2-3g protein per serving, plus some vitamins. Unless they have extra stuff like biotin or melatonin, should be fine. Maybe hide them better haha!

Ah the classic oops! I’ve had clients with similar stories. As long as they don’t contain xylitol or excessive vitamin A, one-time overindulgence is usually harmless. But for future, try gummies with a more “adult” flavor like citrus or unflavored? Or keep in a high cabinet. Also maybe teach your kid that some gummies are special “grown-up treats” :)

Thanks guys! Yeah no melatonin, just collagen and vitamin C. She’s bouncing off the walls though – maybe the sugar? I’ll be more careful. ZenZoe I love the “grown-up treats” idea!
