So my 6yo found my collagen gummies and thought they were regular candy. He ate like 5 before I caught him! Now he's begging for more every day. I tried explaining they're not for kids, but he's not buying it. Any advice? Also, they're strawberry flavored, so I see his point... 😅

Haha, classic! But seriously, you might want to keep those out of reach. Collagen gummies can have added sugar and other stuff that's not ideal for little ones. I'd suggest locking them up or hiding them. Maybe get some actual kid-friendly gummy vitamins for him so he feels included? Just a thought.

My niece did the same thing with my elderberry gummies! Now I only buy ones with a really bitter taste or I keep them in a jar that says 'NOT CANDY' in big letters. Also, check if the brand uses natural ingredients - some have extra stuff that's not great for kids. I like the ones with clean labels.

As a med student, I'd advise checking the dosage of collagen for kids. It's generally not recommended because their bodies produce enough collagen naturally. Too much could cause digestive upset or other issues. Definitely keep them out of reach and maybe give him a healthier alternative like fruit snacks or actual fruit if he wants candy. 😉

Oh, that's a funny one! My husband tried one of my gummies and said it tasted like 'sweet rubber bands' - he was not impressed. So I guess count your blessings he likes the texture! On a serious note, maybe have a chat about what's food and what's supplements. A little mindfulness goes a long way. And hey, you could always make your own gummies with him using real fruit juice - that could be a fun activity and satisfy his sweet tooth without the collagen.
