My kid thinks collagen gummies are candy, send help!

So I bought these new collagen gummies for my wife, right? Figured they'd help with her skin and nails. I left the bottle on the counter for ONE minute, and my 6-year-old found them. She's now convinced they're 'mommy's special fruit snacks' and keeps begging for more. I'm worried she's gonna get a stomach ache or worse. Anyone else have this happen? I need tips to hide them better!

OMG, same thing happened here! My hubby thought they were gummy bears and ate like 10 at once. He said they tasted 'weird' but still munched them. I now keep mine in the back of the pantry behind the canned beans. Out of sight, out of mind (and belly). But seriously, check the ingredients—some collagen gummies have xylitol, which is toxic to dogs, so watch out if you have pets too!

Ugh, I feel you. My 4-year-old refuses to eat them because she says they're 'too squishy and slimy'. She spits them out and makes a face. So now I have to chew them in secret like a criminal. As for hiding, try a high shelf or a locked cabinet. Or get the powdered collagen—easier to disguise in smoothies. But yeah, kids man.

Honestly, I think it's a sign to reconsider the gummy trend altogether. They're basically candy with collagen sprinkled in—loaded with sugar. Why not try unflavored collagen peptides? You can sneak it into anything. But if you're set on gummies, keep them in a vitamin organizer that looks medical, not fun. And lock that drawer!

Thanks everyone! @VitalVince, good tip about xylitol—I checked and ours is safe. @RootRose223, I get the sugar thing, but this is the only way my wife will take collagen. I'll try the high shelf trick. Maybe I'll label the bottle 'DO NOT EAT: MEDICINE' in big letters. Hopefully that deters little hands. Wish me luck!
